Single Origin La Minita™ is one of the most consistent, perfectly crafted estate coffees in the world. The La Minita farm is a model for best practices in the industry. The farm produces several qualities of coffee but this signature coffee, La Minita Tarrazu, has very limited production, about 1700 bags annually. The attention to detail is extreme, beginning with what they describe as backyard gardening techniques on a large scale, as all the work is done by hand. They have their own mill on the farm, where the coffee is meticulously prepared and hand sorted. They control every aspect of the coffee from planting to export. Workers are well paid and cared for. Medical and dental is provided on the farm as well as schooling. Pickers are paid a premium to pick only the ripe cherries.
